You will get to work directly alongside the Area Manager, Manager, you will also be asked to support the SEND Coordinator in a busy expanding nursery that is part of Kids Zone Nursery Group, the largest nursery group in Tameside.

You will get to learn directly from the Senior Management team who have lots of knowledge and experience within the nursery sector and have 8 established and successful nurseries within Greater Manchester.

To develop good working relationships with the staff team, management and head office and report back when required to do so.

The right person must have a positive attitude, motivation to upskill your own personal development and learning, have a keen eye for detail and be resourceful, creative and results driven.

You will get more than just a job in child care out of this, you will learn how a child care business works and you will be directly involved in growing a child care business, the experience you gain will be invaluable as you eventually look to carve your own path in the child care world.

Job Roles



You will be tasked with working alongside the manager, the staff and with the children, getting an holistic understanding of how our nursery setting operates

Undertaking tasks that involve parent partnership, completing show rounds, having discussions with parents around their child, taking potential parents on a show around selling the benefits of the nursery to them

Working alongside and supporting the staff with their daily tasks, managing the rooms and ensuring that the nurseries good care practices are being followed and maintained

Using photos taken by the staff for our social media and nursery software pages for parents and the general public to promote the nursery and reach potential parents

Leading and participating with staff meetings alongside the manager, supporting staff where needed, undertaking staff supervisions/reviews and ensuring staff well being is promoted so staff feel supported and cared for as part of the team

Contributing creatively to nursery events, we hold many fund raising events and support local initiatives -Children in Need, Bunny Hops, PJ days and World Book day etc.

Supporting or learn how to support the staff who may have additional roles - SENDCo / DSL with paperwork around the child and attending meetings with other professionals

Getting feedback and requesting reviews from happy parents, recognising any areas of improvement and bringing it to the managers meetings

Required Skills



A good understanding of childcare, the statutory framework and expectations of Ofsted.

Good communication, be able to give praise, advice and ideas when needed.

Good writing skills, replying to parents on the nursery software and for social media posts.

To have good organisational skills, to think ahead and plan and have good time management skills.

A willingness to learn and a focus to develop yourself to higher levels - anybody who is interested in business, reading, or looking to make something of themselves in the future, this role will suit you.
