Your Role as Deputy Manager
Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll play a hands-on role in overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring every child receives the highest standard of care and education.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
Mentoring and guiding practitioners, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture
Helping to plan and deliver a creative, child-led EYFS curriculum
Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance procedures are always upheld
Building strong partnerships with parents and carers
Assisting with rotas, recruitment, budgets, and general operational tasks
Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an approachable and confident leader with a passion for early years and a strong sense of teamwork.
You'll need:
A
Level 3 qualification
or higher in Early Years Education/Childcare (essential)
Experience in a
leadership or supervisory role
within a nursery
Solid knowledge of the
EYFS framework
, safeguarding, and early years regulations
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
A proactive, supportive, and child-focused approach
