Little Angels Flying Start is expanding in Cardiff and are therefore seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated Deputy Setting Leader to join the Little Angels Family working

TERM TIME

within our Cardiff Central setting.

You will work as part of a multi-agency team alongside dietetics, Health Visitors, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Advisory Teachers, the Parenting Team, and our inclusion team to ensure every child in our care is provided with every opportunity to reach their full potential.

As a Flying Start setting you will be given the most up-to-date training to include mandatory training; First Aid, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and an extensive program in line with professional development to include, wellbeing, yoga, Makaton, team building, and many more.

Deputy Setting Leader who is driven by high quality and excellence and has the ability to lead by example and support the Setting Leader.

Requierments for Deputy Playgroup Manager:



Hold a Level 3 qualification or above in childcare Have 2 years post-qualified experience in childcare Work 32.5 hours a week, term time only Have previous supervisory experience. Be passionate about working with children.

Job Duties Summary:



Work as a deputy leader, leading the team. Open/close and fully manage the setting in the absence of the Setting Leader. Working closely with the Setting Leader taking the lead in the running of the setting as a whole. Work in partnership with our other 8 sites across Cardiff. To achieve and maintain high standards of care. To assist the Setting Leader in effectively leading and managing the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, supervision, mentoring, and training and support to all colleagues. Ensuring the records are updated and maintained at a high standard throughout the setting. Adhering to Health and Safety policies, maintaining risk assessments, and relevant documentation. Working in partnership with parents/carers to best support children's care and development. Liaise with external agencies to assist in obtaining advice, guidance, and intervention to support children and their families within the setting.
