Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supporting the daily operations of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children while promoting early childhood education principles.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies. Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive team environment. Engage with children in educational activities, promoting their development and well-being. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Ensure that all health and safety standards are met within the nursery setting. Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance childcare practices. Manage administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and reporting. Drive initiatives that promote early childhood education within the community.

Qualifications

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting is essential. Background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Experience working with children, particularly in a nursery environment, is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or training sessions.
