We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery seeking an experienced and dedicated
Deputy Nursery Manager
to support the leadership of their 53-place setting. Catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role and contribute to high-quality early years education.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding. This is an ideal position for a passionate early years professional looking to take the next step in their career.
About the Role:
You will support and inspire a team of early years practitioners to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children thrive. Your role will include helping lead curriculum delivery, supporting staff development, and building strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Nursery Manager in leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional early years education in line with EYFS guidelines.
Support in maintaining compliance with Ofsted and all statutory requirements.
Help oversee staffing, rotas, occupancy, and general operational duties.
Foster positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and well-being across the setting.
Support ongoing staff development through mentoring and training.
Contribute to planning and delivering an inclusive and engaging curriculum.

About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
Qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years (Level 5 desirable)
Experienced in a senior role within a nursery or early years setting
Confident in EYFS, safeguarding, and day-to-day operational support
A strong team player with excellent leadership and communication skills
Passionate about early childhood development and high-quality care
Organised, proactive, and eager to grow professionally
