Job Overview: We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at Kirkintilloch Nursery. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare, early childhood education, and leadership skills. This position requires excellent communication abilities and the capacity to manage staff effectively. Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations and assist the Manager in running the Nursery - Communicate with parents, staff, and children to ensure a positive environment - Manage and support staff in implementing educational programs - Drive continuous improvement in childcare practices - Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of employees - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations - Handle administrative tasks as needed Qualifications: - You must hold the HNC Childhood Practice/SVQ 3 Children & Young People qualification as a minimum to enable registration with SSSC. Experience working with children in a Nursery or childcare setting - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal - Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide staff - Ability to drive initiatives for enhancing early childhood education programs If you are passionate about childcare, possess strong leadership qualities, and have experience in managing educational programs for children, we encourage you to apply for the Deputy Manager position.
