Responsibilities



Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operations of Cub Wetherby, and managing the nursery in her absence.

Providing effective team leadership, ensuring that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

Promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the children, parents, and team.

Ensuring that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout the nursery.

Ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and that all Nursery policies and procedures are followed.

Delivering and developing our bespoke, child centred, play based curriculum, inspiring children's learning and enabling the progress of each unique child.

Fulfilling the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that concerns relating to safeguarding are responded to promptly and appropriately.

Instigating and facilitating positive, professional partnerships with parents.

Leading on an inclusive approach and best practice with regards to special educational needs and disabilities.

Supporting the recruitment, induction, supervision and appraisal of all staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare practice.

Working with the Directors to support the welfare of all staff and cultivate a culture of positive well-being, promoting an ethos of collaboration, mutual support, and effective teamwork within the setting.

Supporting all staff in their continued professional development, through role modelling, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Working with the Director of Education and Operations on the evaluation, strategic planning, and development of the Nursery.

Working with the Front of House Managers to promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.

Essential Criteria



A full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above.

At least 1 year deputy nursery management experience

A love for children, and a belief that all children deserve an outstanding childcare experience

An expert knowledge of the requirements of the EYFS

An ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team

A robust knowledge of safeguarding and relevant procedures

Pay: 32,000.00 per year
