Deputy Nursery Manager

to join our team at The Wendyhouse Nursery Group , a private nursery in partnership with Angus Council.

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the effective leadership and management of the nursery team. Ensure compliance with

Care Inspectorate standards

Scottish Government guidance

, and

Curriculum for Excellence/Early Level & Realising the Ambition

framework. Assist with staff development, training, and supervision. Build strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the local authority. Contribute to high-quality learning experiences that meet children's individual needs. Support in maintaining accurate records, reports, and care plans.
Requirements:

Minimum

SVQ Level 3 in Childhood Practice

(or equivalent) - Level 4/5 in Childhood Practice or working towards is desirable. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an early years setting. Strong knowledge of current Scottish legislation, GIRFEC, and Angus Council partnership requirements. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
