We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the management of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, along with experience working with children in a nursery setting.
Duties
Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Supervise staff and provide guidance to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both children and staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional growth.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, adhering to health and safety policies at all times.
Participate in community outreach activities to promote the nursery's services.
Qualifications
Applicants are required to have the following:
Level 3 in Childcare (MUST)
Be able to work as part of a team or on your own
Be willing to participate in basic training such as first aid and DBS
Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential.
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
Experience working with children in a nursery environment is preferred.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site events.
