Working in close partnership with the Nursery Manager, you will support the overall running of the setting, guide the team, and help create an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day management and leadership of the nursery
Supervise and develop staff, promoting continuous improvement and best practice
Ensure the consistent delivery of high standards in care, education, and safeguarding
Support curriculum planning and delivery in line with the EYFS framework
Build positive, professional relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements, policies, and health and safety standards
Champion a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and staff
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Education or Childcare
Previous leadership experience in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation
Excellent communication, organisation, and team management skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership and problem solving
Desirable:
Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
Familiarity with nursery administration and compliance processes
A passion for developing both staff and children within a supportive learning culture
