Deputy Manager
who shares our passion for early years education and can bring leadership, creativity, and energy to our team.
Job Overview:
As our Deputy Manager, you'll be the right-hand to our Nursery Manager, playing a vital role in the day-to-day running of our Nursery. You'll ensure our children receive the highest standard of care and education, while also supporting and inspiring our wonderful team. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Support the Nursery Manager in leading the team, ensuring everyone feels motivated, valued, and equipped to deliver exceptional care and learning.
Daily Operations:
Oversee the smooth running of the nursery, maintaining compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (and keeping the Ofsted inspector smiling!).
Staff Management:
Supervise, mentor, and manage staff, including conducting appraisals, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
Parent Partnerships:
Build strong, positive relationships with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and responding to any queries or concerns with warmth and professionalism.
Child Development:
Champion high-quality early years education, contributing to planning and assessment and ensuring every child's developmental needs are met.
Health & Safety:
Ensure the nursery remains a safe and welcoming space, following all safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
Problem-Solving:
Jump in with creative solutions when challenges arise--because no two days are ever the same!
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
Minimum
Level 3 qualification in Early Years
(a higher qualification is a bonus!).
Experience:
Proven track record of managing staff and running a nursery, with a strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
Leadership Skills:
You're a natural leader who inspires trust, builds relationships, and knows how to bring out the best in a team.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with children, staff, and parents alike.
Passion:
A genuine love for early years education and a commitment to creating a magical environment where children can thrive.
Organisational Skills:
The ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure (while juggling glitter glue and snack time!).
