Your Role as Deputy Manager
In this key position, you'll work alongside the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of the setting. You'll help ensure everything runs smoothly, from delivering a high-quality curriculum to supporting staff and maintaining excellent standards of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting daily operations to ensure the nursery runs efficiently and effectively
Leading and mentoring early years practitioners, fostering a supportive team culture
Contributing to the planning and delivery of a creative, child-focused EYFS curriculum
Ensuring robust safeguarding and health & safety practices are always in place
Building strong, trusting relationships with families and offering ongoing support
Assisting with staffing, rota planning, recruitment, and budget-related tasks
Promoting an inclusive, safe, and stimulating environment for every child
What We're Looking For
We're after a confident, positive leader who is passionate about early years education and ready to support both children and staff to reach their full potential.
You'll bring:
A
Level 3 qualification or higher
in Early Years Education or Childcare (essential)
Previous experience in a
supervisory or management
role within a nursery setting
Strong understanding of the
EYFS framework
, safeguarding, and early years legislation
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A hands-on, proactive attitude with a genuine commitment to quality care
