Your Role as Deputy Manager
This is a
visible, active leadership position
. You'll be involved in everything from mentoring team members and guiding curriculum to engaging with children on the floor.
You will work in partnership with the Nursery Manager to:
Lead and inspire educators through day-to-day guidance and coaching
Model high-quality practice and reflective teaching
Deliver a
child-led, curiosity-based curriculum
built around the EYFS
Foster a growth-minded, supportive culture
Maintain strong safeguarding and compliance standards
Step confidently into the Manager's role when needed
About You
You're likely to be a great fit if you:
Have experience as a
Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or Third in Charge
Are confident with
EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
Lead by example with positivity and professionalism
Love being on the floor, supporting and motivating others
Enjoy mentoring and helping team members develop professionally
Stay calm, solutions-focused, and resilient under pressure
