Location: SE14 5JN
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (mix of office hours and floor-based responsibilities)
Salary: 35,000 - 38,000 per year

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate

Deputy Nursery Manager

to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with proven management experience in early years who is confident in balancing office-based duties with hands-on support in the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery. Take responsibility for the smooth operation of the nursery in the Manager's absence. Lead and mentor staff to deliver high-quality care and education. Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Contribute to staff training, appraisals, and performance management.

Requirements

Level 3 childcare qualification

(essential). Minimum

2 years' experience

in a nursery/childcare setting (required). At least

1 year of management experience

(required). Previous experience as a

Deputy Nursery Manager

(essential). Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
