Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will work closely with staff, parents, and children to promote an engaging learning atmosphere. This role consists of 2 days room based and 3 days within the office.

Duties

Assist the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Lead and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and early years education. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children. Monitor children's progress and well-being, providing guidance and support as needed. Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining a safe environment. Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills in childcare practices.

Qualifications

A strong background in early childhood education or related fields is essential. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective communication with staff and parents. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering children's development. This role consists of 2 days room based and 3 days within the office. Knowledge of current best practices in childcare and early years education is preferred.
