Job Description
At Aktiva Nurseries, we strive to provide a safe, fun and friendly environment where our children build confidence and broaden experience. We are located in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. It is set in 1.5 acres of land, with extensive gardens, an allotment, a meadow and forest school. There are 6 separate rooms for the children with all weather outdoors spaces allowing freedom in play.
We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join the team at Highfield House Nursery and pre-school located on the edge of Great Brickhill, close to the new Woburn Downs development
We are looking for an experienced deputy manager, with the enthusiasm, flexibility and vision. We want someone who can lead a team, has excellent communication skills, a comprehensive knowledge of Early Years and can adapt to the needs of the community.
Personal specification - essential
a minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification,
previous experience as either a Deputy Manager or Room Leader
previous experience of leading and managing a team
flexible nature to develop with the needs of an evolving setting
Excellent communication skills
Personal specification - desirable
Sound knowledge of the EYFS
Knowledge and experience with Ofsted
Confident in the use of IT
Experience of working alongside other agencies
