We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with both staff and parents.
Responsibilities
Assist the Nursery Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Supervise and support staff in their roles, fostering a positive team environment.
Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Manage daily administrative tasks, including record keeping and reporting.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards.
Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided to children.
Skills
Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively.
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
Proven leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
A background in childcare or nursery management is highly desirable.
