The Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll support the Nursery Manager with all aspects of operations while stepping up in their absence to ensure consistency and stability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Nursery Manager across all areas of leadership and compliance Leading, mentoring, and motivating the team to deliver outstanding care and education Ensuring EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are met at all times Contributing to curriculum planning and enhancing learning outcomes Coaching and developing staff through feedback and training Building strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for every child
About You

We're seeking a confident, professional leader with warmth, resilience, and a genuine passion for early years.

You will have:

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 4/5 desirable) Previous supervisory or management experience in a nursery setting Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to quality care
Desirable:

Experience supporting or leading Ofsted inspections Familiarity with nursery compliance and reporting systems
