About the Role



As

Deputy Nursery Manager

, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll support all aspects of leadership and operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance. You'll also act as Manager in their absence, maintaining consistency and quality across the setting.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Nursery Manager in all areas of operations and compliance Lead, motivate, and mentor the team to deliver outstanding care and education Ensure EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are fully met and maintained Contribute to curriculum planning and enhance learning outcomes for children Coach and develop staff through regular feedback, training, and role modelling Build strong, supportive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can flourish

About You



We're looking for a confident and approachable leader who combines strong professional knowledge with warmth, integrity, and enthusiasm for early years education.

Requirements:



Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 4 or 5 desirable) Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an early years setting Excellent understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement

Desirable:



Experience supporting or leading Ofsted inspections Familiarity with nursery management and compliance systems
