About the Role



As

Deputy Nursery Manager

, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll help lead the team, ensure compliance with all regulations, and provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every child. You'll also act as Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity and high-quality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of leadership, operations, and compliance. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Early Years practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare. Ensure full adherence to EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards. Contribute to curriculum planning and enhance learning outcomes for all children. Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development for staff. Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can flourish.

About You



You're an enthusiastic, approachable leader with a genuine passion for Early Years education and a drive to deliver excellence across all areas of nursery life.

Requirements:



Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 4 or 5 desirable). Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an Early Years setting. Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable:



Experience supporting or leading Ofsted inspections. Familiarity with nursery management and compliance systems.
