What is expected of you?



As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, supporting staff, and maintaining a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for children.

Key responsibilities include:

Assist in the delivery and embedding of an innovative, industry-leading curriculum that supports children's development and learning. Mentor, guide, and inspire practitioners, helping to maintain high standards of care and practice. Support the Nursery Manager with administration, compliance, and health & safety requirements, ensuring regulatory standards are met. Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners. Demonstrate and promote the company's values, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive culture for staff and children alike.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, with experience in a supervisory or deputy role. You'll have the confidence to take on leadership responsibilities when required and the ability to work collaboratively to drive high standards across the nursery.

Essential skills and experience include:

Experience in a supervisory, room leader, or deputy role within a nursery or early years setting. An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education. A GCSE or functional skills qualification in maths (or willingness to obtain after starting). Solid knowledge of early years education, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements. Experience in supporting curriculum delivery and ensuring educational excellence. Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and supportive approach.
