Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education and possess excellent leadership skills. As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for children while ensuring that all staff members are effectively managed and supported alongside the Manager and will be responsible for the setting in the absence of the Nursery Manager

Responsibilities

Support Manager to lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to staff members. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in early childhood education. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Organise daily activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other administrative tasks alongside the Manager

Skills

Strong leadership abilities with experience in either a room leader or Deputy role within a nursery setting. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to effectively manage childcare operations while fostering a positive atmosphere. Experience working with children in various capacities is highly desirable. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the nursery environment.
This is a full time position, 36 hours per week, 4 days a week

Our Nursery is in the Furzedown area of Streatham on Mitcham lane, SW16

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
