About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Deputy Nursery Manager

to support the leadership of our well-established nursery in

Surbiton

. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified early years professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality education and care.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, guiding the team, and ensuring that all children receive outstanding learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities



Support the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure smooth operations Provide strong leadership to the team, modelling best practice in early years education Ensure planning and delivery of a broad, balanced, and stimulating curriculum Contribute to staff training, development, and performance management Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and carers Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children and staff Support occupancy growth by conducting tours and engaging prospective families Promote compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards

About You



Essential Requirements:



Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education or Childcare Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an early years setting Excellent understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements Strong organisational and communication skills A proactive, child-centred approach with a commitment to continuous improvement

Desirable:



Experience supporting Ofsted inspections Knowledge of nursery management systems and procedures Familiarity with staff supervision and performance reviews
