Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Deputy leader to join our nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Deputy Leader, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the development of children aged 18 months to 4 years, creating a safe and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages exploration and growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children to explore and learn. Manage behaviour effectively while promoting positive interactions among children. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the children's learning and share best practices. Lead activities that stimulate children's creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking skills. Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times. Lead the Pre school in the absence of the Leader.

Requirements

A recognised full and regulated level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Childhood Education. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or preschool environment is imperative. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage dynamics positively. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through play-based learning. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the learning experience for children. A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
