### About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) to join our CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) team in Essex. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader to support the Ward Manager in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care while ensuring compliance with CQC and NMC standards.
### Key Responsibilities:
? Clinical Leadership: Support the Ward Manager in overseeing daily operations of a CAMHS unit, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
? Staff Management: Take full oversight of nursing rotas, ensuring optimal staffing levels and efficient e-roster management.
? Medication & Care Plans: Lead medication rounds, ensuring compliance with MAR charts and individual care plans.
? Staff Development: Facilitate clinical supervision, appraisals, and CPD for nursing staff, ensuring 100% mandatory training compliance.
? Service Development: Contribute to new care pathways and quality improvement initiatives.
? Safeguarding: Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all concerns are reported per CQC and local policies.
### Essential Requirements:
? Valid NMC PIN (RMN/RNLD) with 3+ years as a Deputy Ward Manager in mental health/CAMHS.
? Proven experience in medication administration, risk assessments, and care planning.
? Strong rota management skills with experience using e-rostering systems.
? Knowledge of CQC standards, Mental Health Act, and safeguarding protocols.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
### Desirable:
- Training in DBT, CBT, or trauma-informed care.
- Experience in CAMHS/PICU settings.
