Job Overview:



We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive

Despatch Coordinator

to manage the efficient scheduling and despatch of precast concrete products from our manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or transport coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate and plan daily deliveries of precast concrete products to customer sites. Work closely with production, transport, and yard teams to align despatch schedules with manufacturing outputs and site requirements. Prepare delivery documentation including despatch notes, load manifests, and delivery instructions. Ensure proper loading and securing of concrete products for safe transport in compliance with health & safety standards. Liaise with drivers, haulage contractors, and site contacts to manage delivery times and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays. Monitor delivery progress and provide real-time updates to internal teams and customers. Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and product tracking. Identify and address issues related to vehicle capacity, product availability, and site access constraints. Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in despatch and logistics operations.

Requirements:



Previous experience in a despatch, transport, or logistics coordination role--ideally within manufacturing, construction, or a similar sector. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure. Knowledge of precast concrete products or similar heavy goods is advantageous. Familiarity with logistics systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills for working with transport teams, site personnel, and internal departments. A good understanding of vehicle load limits, health & safety regulations, and transport compliance. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
