We are a specialist contractor with multiple disciplines: Building Services, Electrical, Project Management, Joinery and Decorating. Signage Fabrication, Printing, Installation. We work in partnership with a broad range of clients across the aviation sector and other numerous business sectors, and a high proportion of our business comes from repeat custom and client referrals. Consistent high performance has built a portfolio of Long Term Clients.

SSL are looking to add a

Development Manager

to our growing team. This is a fantastic time to join, as this role will be for work on projects in the East & West of Scotland for our Signage and Printing Division of the business

The job will include a variety of works for well-known clients within the aviation sector and across the Central Belt.

Sign Development Manager

- Sales-focused role responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, building client relationships, and increasing sales revenue within the signage and graphics department. Key responsibilities include understanding client needs, proposing signage solutions, managing sales pipelines, and collaborating with internal teams like design and production. Essential skills include strong communication and negotiation, a proven sales track record, knowledge of the print and signage industry, essential.

Key Responsibilities



Lead Generation & Sales:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and educate potential customers.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a primary contact.

Solution Development:

Understand client requirements to propose and deliver appropriate signage and graphics solutions.

Sales Strategy & Planning:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and increase market share.

Collaboration:

Work closely with design, production, and other internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor sales performance, maintain accurate records in a CRM system, and provide regular reports to management.

Key Skills & Qualifications



Sales Experience:

A strong sales background with a proven track record of exceeding targets is essential.

Industry Knowledge:

Deep knowledge of large format print, graphics, and signage is crucial.

Communication & Negotiation:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation abilities.

Customer Focus:

A customer-centric attitude and the ability to build long-term client relationships.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and a sales pipeline effectively.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Driving License:

A full UK driving license is required for client meetings and travel.

Desired for the role:



Experience in signage, retail graphics, POS, exhibition and displays sector. Experience of production & installation techniques.
