Position Overview:




For our

Manchester

museum we are searching for a creative, strategic, and hands-on individual to take over a

Digital Creator and Social Media Manager

role and lead our digital storytelling and community engagement.


You will be responsible for planning, producing, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms to grow our audience, build brand awareness, and drive museum visits. You will be both the creative mind behind the content and the strategist who ensures performance and consistency.

Together, we will design your to-do list, which will include tasks like:



Developing and executing the monthly social media content plan for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Capturing and editing engaging on-site photo and video content showcasing the museum's experience, illusions, and visitor interactions. Writing compelling and on-brand copy for posts, captions, and community engagement. Monitoring trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant. Managing daily posting, community management (DMs, comments), and user-generated content. Coordinating with the global marketing team on campaigns, content guidelines, and brand consistency. Collaborating with influencers to boost visibility and reach. Tracking and reporting on performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth) using Meta Business Manager and platform insights.

We're looking for someone with:



2+ years of experience in social media management and content creation. Strong video and photo creation skills (filming, editing, basic motion graphics are a plus). Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite or similar tools. Excellent written and spoken English language skills Understanding of social media algorithms and engagement strategies (especially for Reels and TikTok). Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. A creative eye and love for pop culture, trends, and visual storytelling. Availability to work on-site and occasionally during weekends or evenings for events and content opportunities. Nice to Have: + Experience in hospitality, tourism, or museum/attraction settings.
+ Familiarity with paid social (boosting, Meta Ads).
