To enhance the Forum's visibility and engagement through digital channels, support the promotion of events and activities, and assist with light operational tasks to ensure smooth running of Forum initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and planning
- Work with Forum Team to develop, deliver and monitor the charity's marketing and communications plan including those who may not have digital access.
Brand Management
- Ensure a consistent and powerful brand voice and key messaging across all communication channels
Digital Promotion & Content Creation
- Design and publish engaging adverts and promotional materials for Forum events and opportunities.
- Create and schedule content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn). Building relationships with stakeholders across social media platforms.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Forum team members to gather stories, updates, and relevant content to input into Forum Newsletter in production with Forum steering group representative.
Website Management
- Update the Forum website with news, events, and resources.
- Ensure content is accessible, accurate, and up to date.
- Support the development of new pages or features as needed (e.g., diary, signposting).
These duties represent the typical responsibilities associated with this position. However, flexibility is essential and all employees may occasionally be required to undertake additional tasks as directed.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
- Familiarity with website editing (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable
- Understanding of SEND and/or experience working with charity sector.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content.
- Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing tools.
- Strong team work and collaboration skills to work within a small team.
