The Digital Marketing Lead is responsible for driving the strategy, execution and continual improvement of THX's digital marketing ecosystem. This includes website management & development, SEO, paid digital channels, social media strategy, analytics, and digital optimisation. This role leads the digital content and platform direction for the business, ensuring all digital activity works cohesively to increase visibility, generate leads, support conversion, and elevate the THX brand online. The Digital Marketing Lead will manage the Digital Content Executive and collaborate closely with the wider marketing team, external partners and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Digital Strategy & Channel Ownership
Own and develop the THX digital marketing strategy across website, SEO, paid channels and social platforms with the head of marketing.
Set clear KPIs for digital performance (traffic, conversion, organic growth, paid ROI, engagement).
Identify optimisation opportunities across all digital touchpoints, driving continuous improvement.
Website & User Experience
Manage ongoing website development, UX improvements and content updates.
Work with developers and designers to maintain a professional, high-performance digital experience.
Oversee landing pages for campaigns, ensuring strong UX, SEO alignment and conversion design.
SEO & Organic Growth
Own the SEO roadmap including technical SEO, on-page enhancements, keyword strategy and ranking improvement.
Lead content optimisation in partnership with content executive
Monitor organic performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Paid Digital Performance
Manage paid digital channels including Google Ads, paid social, remarketing and any emerging channels.
Allocate budgets, monitor spend, and optimise for cost-efficient results.
Work with agencies or internal stakeholders as needed to maximise campaign performance.
Social Media Strategy
Develop and lead multi-channel social strategy, growing reach and engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other channels.
Collaborate with the Digital Content Executive on content creation and scheduling.
Monitor trends and platform changes to keep THX ahead of competitors.
Analytics & Reporting
Own all digital analytics, dashboards and reporting.
Use insights to guide decision-making across the marketing team.
Track attribution, digital ROI and funnel contribution from digital activity.
Team & Collaboration
Line manage, mentor and develop the Digital Content Executive.
Work closely with: Email & Nurture Specialist (to drive integrated customer journeys) Data Coordinator (for segmenting, tracking and CRM integration) Telemarketing team (to ensure digital campaigns support lead generation)
Collaborate with external agencies when needed to deliver specialist digital work.
Person specification:
Essential
4+ years in digital marketing roles with proven responsibility for web, SEO, paid digital and social channels.
Hands-on experience managing websites and CMS platforms.
Demonstrated track record of improving digital performance and implementing channel strategies.
Experience managing external agencies or freelancers.
Experience with analytics platforms including GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console and social insights tools.
Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, paid social, digital attribution and content optimisation.
Solid project management and ability to prioritise across multiple campaigns.
Ability to convert data into clear insight and recommendations.
Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across teams.
Commercially minded with a performance-driven approach.
Proactive problem-solver with curiosity for continuous improvement.
Able to lead, support and develop junior team members.
Calm, organised and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
Experience in B2B, construction, plant hire or industrial sectors.
Experience leading paid campaigns in-house.
Exposure to marketing automation and CRM systems (HubSpot).
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for web updates.
Familiarity with creative tools to brief effectively into design.
Experience developing multi-channel digital strategies from scratch.
