The Role
We're seeking a talented
Digital Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
to lead on the development and execution of NMITE's digital marketing strategy. This is a fixed-term post covering maternity leave (up to 12 months), reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications & Student Recruitment.
You'll oversee our online presence across all digital platforms, using a data-driven approach to engage with our audiences and support our goals in student recruitment, reputation building, and partnership development.
You'll work closely with our agencies and internal teams to deliver integrated campaigns - from SEO and SEM to social media and email marketing - all focused on results and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy across SEO, SEM, paid media, social media, and email.
Manage and develop NMITE's website to ensure great user experience and high performance.
Lead content creation and audience engagement across social channels.
Run in-house paid media campaigns (e.g., PPC) and collaborate with external agencies for optimal results.
Design and deliver targeted email campaigns to nurture leads and connect with a range of stakeholders.
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track, measure and report on performance and ROI.
Collaborate with colleagues across NMITE to deliver consistent, effective marketing and communications.
Lead project management within the marketing team to meet campaign deadlines and objectives.
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have proven experience in creating and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Understand how to build and engage online communities through effective digital strategies.
Know how to make a website work - for both users and search engines.
Are confident with email marketing (segmentation, automation, A/B testing).
Are data-savvy and can use insights to improve strategy and results.
Are a strong project manager who can balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
Have excellent writing and communication skills, with an eye for detail and tone.
Are a proactive team player who thrives in fast-moving, collaborative environments.
Are commercially minded, creative, and driven by results.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Degree or equivalent experience in digital marketing or a related field.
Hands-on experience in digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social, email, paid media).
Experience managing websites and using analytics tools.
Familiarity with CRM and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Teams/SharePoint.
Desirable:
CRM experience
Design, photography, or video editing skills
Previous experience in the Higher Education sector
