Job Description

Job Purpose:

Fabulosa are looking for an experienced operator to manage their brand new print machine installation.

This role will be to help install & operate digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to customer specifications, while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Print Production

Operate digital printing machines Xeikon, to produce high-quality prints based on Fabulosa customer requirements Prepare print files, including RIP processing, colour calibration, layout adjustments, and proofing. Set up print runs, load media, inks, and consumables. Monitor print quality continuously and make real-time adjustments. Ensure jobs meet required specifications (colour accuracy, alignment, finishing requirements).

File & Workflow Management

Review artwork and job tickets for accuracy and completeness. Perform basic pre-press tasks such as file checks, colour correction, sizing, and imposition. Maintain organised digital file management and job tracking.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Conduct routine cleaning, calibration, and minor maintenance of print equipment. Troubleshoot print quality issues, machine errors, and workflow interruptions. Report equipment faults and coordinate with service technicians as needed.

Quality Control

Inspect finished prints for defects or deviations from standards. Ensure all output meets quality, colour, and durability requirements. Maintain consistent production levels while upholding quality.

Finishing & Post-Production

Assist with finishing tasks such as cutting, laminating, binding, trimming, mounting, or packaging. Operate finishing equipment (guillotines, laminators, cutters, folders, etc.)

General Duties

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised production area. Follow company safety procedures and quality protocols. Collaborate with production, design, and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
