Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Tutor to deliver the Digital Gateway into Employment programme for women with little or no prior work experience, limited educational backgrounds, and low digital confidence. The role focuses on building practical digital, employability, and workplace skills in a supportive, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed environment.

The Digital Gateway into Employment programme delivers structured, hands-on Digital Employability Training covering:

Job Search & Applications

Online job searching CV creation and tailoring Completing digital application processes

Recruitment Platforms

Using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and employer recruitment portals Understanding digital recruitment practices and employer expectations

Workplace Digital Skills

Professional use of email Microsoft Office Google Workspace Virtual collaboration tools commonly used in workplaces

Introduction to AI-Driven Tools

Using AI to support CV writing Interview practice and confidence-building Career exploration and job matching
All training is delivered in an accessible, supported, and trauma-informed way, suitable for learners with low confidence, low English levels, or limited prior digital experience.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver engaging digital skills and employability sessions aligned with the programme framework. Travel to different locations to deliver the program. Develop and adapt learning materials to suit learners' abilities and needs. Complete all required paperwork, including registers, sign-up forms, learner tracking, and progress records. Monitor learner attendance, engagement, and progression. Use appropriate evaluation tools to collect learner feedback and outcomes. Provide practical IT support during sessions (e.g. troubleshooting basic software or device issues). Communicate clearly and simply, ensuring learners understand content. Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse communities. Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and reporting. Ensure punctuality, professionalism, and consistent follow-up on learner progress.

Essential Skills & Experience



Previous experience delivering employability and/or digital skills training. Strong IT skills, including the ability to troubleshoot common technical issues. Experience working with adult learners from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds. Knowledge of learner evaluation methods and programme paperwork requirements. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and learner-centred approach.

Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).


Desirable



Experience delivering women-only or wellbeing-focused programmes. Understanding of trauma-informed practice and barriers to employment.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 27,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week

Work Location: In person
