We are seeking an enthusiastic Digital Solutions Engineer to join our close-knit team at Lucy Electric. This is a great development opportunity for a motivated self-starter to learn all about Lucy Products and how they are used in the electricity industry; you will be responsible for advising our sales teams and customer base on the optimum use of our digital solutions products.

Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.
Job Context:
You will work as part of a wider Applications & Technical Support team working closely with Applications Mangers, contract design engineers, technical support engineers, contract engineers and technical authors.
Job Dimensions:
The role will be Thame office based but in conjunction with the company's hybrid working policies. This role reports to the Head of Applications & Technical Support.
Key Accountabilities:
These will include:
Provide technical support to the BDM, Sales Managers and teams.
Give demonstrations to both new and existing customers
Provide technical support data for the contracts and sales & marketing teams and help negotiate technical issues at customer level
Coordinate the development of projects from pre-sales through to implementation.
Train Lucy associates in existing and new Digital Solutions technology and relevance to distribution network systems
Assist in identifying new products and services for development and integrate these into the Lucy service offering.
Develop new customers and markets in conjunction with BDM
Manage technical interfaces in contracts and automation engineering functions
Work to ISO 9001 quality standards.
Ability to thrive in a high pressure and developing environment. The ability to continuously improve standards & quality of the department.
Adherence to all Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service of the department.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
Minimum:
Essential:
Ability to relate digital solutions technology to customers distribution switchgear control needs.
Ability to formulate and present commercial and technical quotations.
Technical expertise in Lucy Digital Solutions and competitor technology and product offering.
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Good communication and presentation skills.
Technical background in automation, switchgear or protection systems.
Desirable:
RTU and Automation design experience
Project Management experience.
Good working Knowledge of primary and secondary switchgear
