Digital Solutions Architect

Our client, an FTSE 100 corporation that operates on a global scale is currently recruiting a Digital Solutions Architect who has commercial experience working within a retail or e-Commerce environment and operating on a global scale coupled with AWS/MACH (Micros-Services, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless) serverless principles. This is an exciting challenge where the selected Digital Solutions Architect will enhance a global customer-driven platform that directly affects millions of users worldwide. Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of \xc2\xa3125,000 + a 30% bonus with other excellent benefits with the expectancy to be on-site one day per week in Luton.
To be considered, the selected Digital Solutions Architect must have a background in designing/developing scalable web/mobile applications using integration patterns, modern web technologies, and previous experience in languages such as Node.js / React / Angular, etc.

Role responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Develop and articulate the digital architecture strategy and roadmap, leveraging MACH principles, serverless architecture, and composable solutions to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for web and mobile applications.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, goals, and challenges, and translate them into technical architecture designs that align with the overall business objectives.
• Solution Design: Define the architecture, components, interfaces, and integration patterns required to build digital solutions, ensuring they meet scalability, performance, security, and usability standards.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks related to digital architecture, perform technology evaluations, and recommend the adoption of suitable technologies to enhance solution development and delivery.
• Serverless Architecture: Design and implement serverless architectures leveraging Cloud-native capabilities and container orchestration to build highly scalable, cost-effective, and resilient applications.
• Microservices: Define and implement microservices-based architecture, including designing APIs and leveraging containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and management of services.
• Integration and API Design: Design and implement robust integration strategies and APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between different systems, applications, and services while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key skills to be considered:

• Proven experience as a digital architect, solution architect, or similar role, preferably with experience in the retail industry.
• Strong expertise in MACH principles and hands-on experience in designing and implementing composable, microservices-based architectures.
• In-depth understanding and experience with Cloud-based services and technologies.
• Proficiency in designing and developing scalable web and mobile applications using modern web technologies, frameworks, and languages (e.g., JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of integration patterns, API design, and experience with API management platforms.
• Experience in performance optimization techniques and tools for web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance standards, with the ability to design and implement secure solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze.
• Strong enterprise architecture skills, particularly in aligning strategic business requirements and the IT architectures & roadmaps needed
