About The Role




We now have a unique opportunity for a talented Director of Marketing and Communications to join our senior team, someone who shares our passion for taking the business/brand to the next level. In this new role you'll have the freedom to shape and deliver your marketing vision for Sunbelt Rentals UK through which you'll engage, inspire and immerse all of our audiences to bring them with us on the journey.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for aspects of Sunbelt UK's marketing and communication activities, from developing and executing strategies to managing budgets and leading teams. The vacancy holder will be pivotal for driving brand awareness, generating leads, and ultimately increasing revenue. The role is a key leadership role within the executive structure of the organisation allowing the job holder extensive influence at a senior level within the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

Development of the Sunbelt Corporate Brand



To review the Sunbelt Rentals marketing brand to develop a long term strategy to elevate the brand to the next level for both our customers and employees with clear definitions on measures of success (including "What do we want to be famous for?")

Digital Transformation



Utilising their digital expertise the jo holder will formulate a strategy to enable Sunbelt Rentals to become a market leader in ecommerce through the use of cutting-edge technology and an enhanced customer website.

Delivery of Revenue



Devise and implement a strategy to enable all customer contacts to be tracked from initial enquiry to order providing market leading data to improve rate growth, cross functional sales and customer acquisition/retention.

Campaign Management:



Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to hit the target audience across multi channels (website, social media, PR) to ensure brand consistency.

Performance Analysis:



Develop and enhance key data driven market metrics to improve customer acquisition and retention. Ensure optimisation of AI capability within the marketing and communications team.

Team Leadership:



To be a strong cultural fit for Sunbelt Rentals displaying an open, collaborative and creative management style allowing for challenge, debate and dialogue in a very diverse organisation. Providing exceptional leadership in building, developing and motivating the marketing and communications team to deliver outstanding stakeholder and customer satisfaction.

Communications



Create and deliver an external communications, engagement and PR strategy that supports the Sunbelt Rentals' UK business vision using cutting edge practices and methodologies to enable Sunbelt Rentals to stand out against our Peer Group. Utilizing new technology and methods work with Sunbelt internal partners develop a strategy to be able to effective 2 way communication with all Sunbelt colleagues on a frequent basis.

What will you need to succeed in this role:


Educated to Degree level or equivalent, with extensive marketing experience at a senior level Demonstrated success in designing and implementing multi-channel strategic marketing strategies raising brand awareness (from Film and TV to diggers) and delivering ROI Extensive communication experience including change communications and crisis management. Ability to lead and champion change programmes including digital transformation Significant experience of working with and influencing executive leadership team Experience in building, scaling and mentoring high-performing teams Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration Deep understanding of UK Marketing landscape Knowledge of the current E commerce market and expected future trends Exceptional relationship building skills with key external and industry wide stakeholders A keen business acumen and a visionary mindset.
