We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitised. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment.
Duties
Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitise dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen surfaces to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting cooks and chefs in the kitchen.
Properly sort and store clean dishes and utensils to ensure easy access for kitchen staff.
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Experience
While previous experience in a culinary or hospitality setting is advantageous, it is not essential as we provide comprehensive training for all new hires. Candidates should possess:
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or kitchens is beneficial but not mandatory.
