Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service in our restaurant/hotel setting.

Duties

Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning floors, surfaces, and equipment. Sort and stack clean dishes in their designated areas to ensure easy access for kitchen staff. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support cooks and chefs during busy service periods. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in a hospitality setting. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and management.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
