We have an exciting opportunity for a

Divisional

Financial Accountant

to join our dynamic and fast-growing division of Motus Group (UK) Ltd. This is a newly created role, follows a recent successful acquisition doubling the size of the division, so the successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time of growth and development.



Reporting to the Divisional Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for heading up the shared services Accounts Team, looking after our 8 separate business units, from our brand-new premises in Hull.


This exciting role offers you the chance to shape the financial accounting function of the Motus Vehicle Solutions division, and create strong foundations, driving us forward into our next chapter.

Key Responsibilities include:

Responsible for day-to-day running of our shared service Accounts Team centre Maintaining an excellent working environment for all members of the finance team, including remote workers Working with divisional businesses and management teams, to achieve expected service levels with accounts department Maintenance and consolidation of financial systems Responsibility for financial accounting processes, from setting up new supplier and customer accounts to trial balances Responsible for ensuring reconciliation of balance sheet Ensuring accurate financial reporting and month end completion, in line with group policies Production of month end financial reports Working with Divisional Management Accountant to provide financial data to local management teams. Ensuring compliance with Internal Policies and External legislation with regards suppliers and customers and financial records Ensuring compliance with sustainability reporting responsibilities

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

Experience in leading and motivating a small team, including remote workers Experience in working in a busy accounts department, looking after multiple sites/businesses Advanced proficiency in Excel Experience in collating data from multiple systems Experience of working to tight reporting deadlines Experience of month end processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
