The Role - Domestic Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and caring

Domestic Assistant

to join our housekeeping team at

Capel Grange Care Home, Wales

. You will play an essential role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, supporting the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Cleaning resident bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and service areas Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control Following cleaning schedules, COSHH, and infection-prevention procedures Using and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment safely Reporting maintenance, health, or safety concerns appropriately Respecting residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times Promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing of residents Working positively with colleagues across all departments Attending mandatory training and taking responsibility for your own development

About You

You will be:

Reliable, organised, and detail-focused Caring and respectful, with an understanding of working in a care or healthcare environment Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to undertake training in infection control and safeguarding Previous domestic or cleaning experience in a care, hospital, or similar setting is desirable but not essential
