Responsibilities
Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing behaviour management strategies and providing emotional reassurance
Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
Support clients with mobility and transportation needs
Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid procedures when required
Document care activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
Requirements
Previous Domiciliary experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable
Knowledge of Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
Relevant skills in caregiving, medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid certification
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
Valid driving licence for transportation duties - optional
Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience
Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required
A recognised qualification in healthcare or caregiving is advantageous but not essential
