Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills across a range of needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care. Responsibilities



Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Administer medication in accordance with prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as required Assist with behaviour management strategies to promote a safe and comfortable environment Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met Support clients with activities of daily living in assisted living or home care settings Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safety and comfort during transit Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs, applying first aid when appropriate Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver holistic support

Qualifications



Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care techniques including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care Relevant certifications such as first aid or medication administration are advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or equipment handling Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; previous experience in caregiving or childcare is beneficial but not essential

Pay: 24,420.00-33,932.86 per year
