Salary: Grade 4, \xc2\xa38,747 - \xc2\xa39,234 per annum. \xc2\xa311.18 - \xc2\xa311.80 per hour

Wednesday - Friday (Split shift)

15 hours per week plus 20 hours staff engagement

Your role:

You will drive a 16-seat minibus as part of a team providing adult social care transportation to vulnerable residents of the borough. The outgoing (am) and return (pm) journeys transport passengers to and from day support centres and Community Interest Companies (CIC) using a fleet of in-house wheelchair accessible vehicles. You will reconfigure the internal seating to accommodate the need of the service users, depending on the varied daily route allocation provided by the management team.

The service is supplied daily (Mon-Fri), all year round, and you will work side by side with a passenger assistant. You will be responsible for the vehicle and the safety of all passengers during each journey.

The adults who use our services have special educational needs, learning disabilities or dementia; they will rely on you to arrive safely at their destination. You will be subject to enhanced disclosure check.

About you:

You will provide an efficient and professional service to the users by assisting them whilst on the vehicle to ensure they have a safe and pleasant journey to and from their daytime activities. You will have responsibility for their safety and comfort during their journey. The role can be challenging at times bus is extremely rewarding.
