Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a commitment to ensuring that learners develop the necessary skills and confidence to become safe and responsible drivers. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.

Duties

Conduct driving lessons in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all road safety regulations. Assess students' driving abilities and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Prepare students for both practical driving tests and theoretical examinations. Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student. Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson attendance. Ensure that the vehicle used for instruction is well-maintained and compliant with safety standards. Stay updated on changes in driving laws and regulations to provide current information to students. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Driving Instructor's Licence (ADI) or be in the process of obtaining one. Previous experience in teaching or instructing is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others succeed. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations professionally. A clean driving record with no major violations. Familiarity with various teaching methods and techniques is advantageous. Disclosure Scotland applicant.
