Are you a roofing expert with a flair for training and a passion for driving business growth? This unique dual role blends
technical product training

strategic sales development
, giving you the opportunity to share your roofing expertise while growing our installer network and customer base across Scotland and the North East.
You'll be the face of our brand in the field delivering product training to installers and contractors, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety, autonomy, and making a tangible impact in both people development and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities: Product Training - Roofing Systems
Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions to Cromar and Sika residential roofing installers and stockists.
Educate contractors across a range of roofing technologies including:
GRP & PU Liquids
PVC Single Ply Membranes
RBM Reinforced Bituminous Membranes
Support installers with technical knowledge, troubleshooting, and on-site demonstrations.
Ensure all training content aligns with product standards and brand messaging.
Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing the company in training environments.
Business Development - Sales & Growth
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed regional targets.
Identify and build relationships with new customers while nurturing existing accounts.
Expand the approved residential installer network across Scotland.
Organise and lead product demo days, trade events, and presentations to promote our offerings.
Monitor market activity, identify trends, and provide competitor analysis to guide strategy.
Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience that aligns with brand values.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the building or roofing industry.
Proven track record in sales and/or training roles.
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Confident and engaging public speaker/presenter.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical mindset.
IT proficient (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with CRM system experience.
Self-motivated and comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.
