A high calibre individual to help ensure the London Early Careers Recruitment & Development function is the best in the sector. The Advisor will have responsibility for helping to manage the day-to-day Early Careers Recruitment effort - thinking creatively, strategically, commercially and competitively. They will have excellent client relationship management skills as well as outstanding professional presence.
Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Early Careers Recruitment Manager and current Early Careers Recruitment Advisor, this additional advisor will be responsible for:
Selection & Assessment Managing the end-to-end selection process and escalating any issues to the Manager
Reviewing large volumes of applications and video interview assessments
Conducting telephone interviews for the solicitor apprenticeship programme and training contract populations
Conducting interviews with Associates/Partners to select candidates for the solicitor apprenticeship programme, vacation schemes and training contract populations
Taking full ownership of and participating in the successful running of the vacation schemes
Designing, developing and conducting interviewer/assessor/supervisor training sessions and briefings
Taking full ownership of and participating in the successful running of the Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme and Training Contract assessment centres
Taking full ownership of all assessment feedback and wrap-up processes, including collating and moderating all feedback and working with the Early Careers Partner Group to determine candidate outcomes
Attending all Early Careers Recruitment social events during the formal programmes, including vacation schemes, first-year insight schemes and open days (predominantly during the evenings)
Monitoring and helping drive the candidate management process once an offer has been extended
Ensuring effective management of the AllHires application database
Building relationships with key internal recruitment stakeholders
Cultivation & Attraction Identifying opportunities to promote White & Case's employment proposition via online and media adverts and identifying key competitor activity and potential candidate populations for targeting purposes
Devising and executing comprehensive attraction and events through sponsorship opportunities with universities/student groups to build the Firm's reputation
Managing existing and cultivating new relationships with key contacts at universities
Creating and delivering campus-based skills sessions, university law fairs and careers dinners
Travelling to and attending UK law fairs, careers dinners and general recruitment events. Overnight stays are expected, particularly during the milkround season
Involving in the design and content of the Firm's early careers materials
In conjunction with Global Mobility, appropriately advertising positions for the purposes of the resident labour market test
Annually reviewing all cultivation and attraction efforts
Engagement & Development Initiatives Working closely with key internal contacts such as the Engagement and Development team and Responsible Business team to manage our initiatives across the different functions
Building relationships with key external engagement and development contacts
Managing and participating in the successful co-running of recruitment engagement and development events
Identifying opportunities to promote White & Case's early careers engagement and development proposition via online and media adverts
Presenting to key internal stakeholders on the progress of the Firm's early careers engagement and development initiatives

Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office, and reports into the Early Careers Recruitment Manager.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
