Early Years Educator (forest School)

Do you love working with children & enjoy being outdoors? We are looking for qualified early years practitioners to join our team based at our site at Borde Hill Gardens, Haywards Heath.
Treehoppers is a Forest Kindergarten for children aged 2 and over. We are keen to find passionate & enthusiastic practitioners who love working with children, like being outdoors and don't mind getting muddy. In fact getting muddy is part of the job description! You must be enthusiastic when you are presented with a stick, leaf, worm, endless cups of muddy tea or soup and happy to read lots of books, join in with singing, play games and run around.
You will need to have a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification, or teaching qualification. We put a big focus on training at Treehoppers and we support staff to study further if keen to do so. A Forest School qualification is not necessary for this role as there will be opportunities to undertake training in the future.
We are looking for someone who is available for at least 4 days each week - the minimum hours would be 25, but we can also offer more hours up to a full time position of 37.5 hours pw.. Please see our website and social media for more information about us: https://www.treehoppersfk.com/careers.

Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging and educational activities for young children in a forest school setting, promoting exploration and learning through nature. Support children's development by implementing early childhood education principles and fostering effective communication. Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing environment, ensuring safety and well-being. Maintain records of children's progress and communicate with parents regarding their development. Lead and manage small groups, encouraging teamwork and social skills among children.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.00-13.45 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 37.5 per week
