Your Role Will Include:

Leading the day-to-day running of the nursery floor with energy and confidence Being a role model to staff, setting high standards for care, planning, and interactions Taking full responsibility in the manager's absence, ensuring smooth operations Supporting and mentoring team members to deliver outstanding early years practice Building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all children Contributing to inspections, audits, and action planning Helping to manage rotas, ratios, and room organisation effectively
We're Looking for Someone Who:

Is qualified to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years and also working (or willing to work) towards a further professional qualification e.g PDA 8/9 or BA Childhood Practice Has a minimum of 3 years experience post-qualification and strong experience in a senior practitioner or deputy role with Demonstrates natural leadership, resilience, and a calm approach under pressure Can communicate clearly and compassionately with both staff and families Possesses strong computer literacy and displays confidence using digital tools Understands current frameworks and legislation (GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence, etc.) Brings warmth, playfulness, and professionalism to the team and relinquishes the opportunity for real leadership and growth
