Overview

Bracken Place Day Nursery is looking for a fun, enthusiastic, qualified chef to create healthy and nutritious meals our children. As the chef you will be key to managing the kitchen and providing lunch and tea to support the children's growth and development.

You will need to have had a least two years' experience in catering and working in a kitchen or catering environment. Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) and understand food allergies and intolerances with children.

We do have a kitchen assistant that would work along side the right candidate who supports with serving meals, washing up and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

Create seasonal termly menus for our children.

Prepare and cook healthy, nutritious meals that meet all the children's dietary needs.

Oversee kitchen operations including food safety and hygiene compliant, liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and manage kitchen supplies and purchasing.

To be involved with children's cooking activities and part of our wider team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour
