An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing Ecommerce team as an Ecommerce Assistant. You will support the day-to-day operations of the Official West Ham United Webstore and Auction Site, assisting in everything from product uploads to campaign content and optimisation of the customer journey.



This role is key in delivering a first-class digital retail experience for our fans and customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities




Manage and coordinate product data entry, page publishing and content updates across the ecommerce platforms.


Ensure product listings are accurate with correct pricing, sizes, and aligned with brand standards.


Support site maintenance including category merchandising, product recommendations, and homepage updates.


Assist with planning and execution of digital retail campaigns including email briefings and product launches.


Track product samples from delivery to upload, and assist with photoshoots (logistics, prep, and on-set support).


Coordinate promotional campaigns such as kit launches, Black Friday and seasonal sales.


Manage auction stock and product uploads on the Official West Ham Auction platform.


Liaise with warehouse and third parties to manage stock movement, availability, and sample coordination.


Collaborate with stakeholders across Retail, IT, and Marketing teams to support online sales strategies.


Provide sales reporting and ad hoc administrative support to the Online Trading Manager.


Help identify customer journey improvement areas and support optimisation activities.

Requirements:

Person Specification:



Essential:




Demonstrable experience in an ecommerce role


Strong written and verbal communication skills


Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines


High level of attention to detail and accuracy


A team player with a proactive, flexible and hardworking approach


Good understanding of current sports, fashion and social media trends


Creative thinker with a keen eye for visual merchandising


GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A*-C or equivalent)


Commitment to continuous learning and development

Desirable:




Experience working in sports retail/ecommerce environment


Knowledge of SEO principles


Experience using CMS platforms and ecommerce back-end systems


Ability to interpret customer data and ecommerce trends


Experience managing or assisting with online auction platforms
